Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga at The Wellness Refinery is a slow, meditative practice focused on deep release, stillness, and nervous system support. This class invites you to slow down and hold gentle, floor-based poses for longer periods of time, allowing the body and mind to soften and unwind.

Poses are held for several minutes at a time and are fully supported with props such as blocks, bolsters, and blankets. Rather than engaging muscles, Yin Yoga gently targets connective tissues, joints, and fascia while encouraging mindful awareness and breath.

This practice is ideal for balancing more active styles of movement, relieving stress, improving mobility, and creating space for rest and reflection. Stillness is a key part of the practice, offering an opportunity to quiet the mind and reconnect with yourself.

Yin Yoga is not about stretching deeper or pushing further, it’s about allowing, listening, and giving your body time to release.
